KUCHING – A group of 45 working adults from all walks of life, of both married and singles, came together for a time of fellowship and community building in the first ever Working Adults Meetup (W.A.M.) on 12 January 2018 at St James Room, St Joseph’s Cathedral Kuching, Parish Centre, jointly organized by CHOICE Kuching (Single Working Adults Ministry) and EMPOWERED Ministry (St Joseph’s Cathedral, Parish Youth Ministry).
This Working Adults Meetup aims to gather those ages 20 and above – especially youths who have transitioned from teen-hood into young adulthood and working adults, for a time of formation and fellowship, in hope that this will provide an avenue for training, skills and support for these attendees who are maturing into adulthood.
At this first ever meetup session, the vision for this Working Adults Meetup programme was shared with the attendees, followed by a simple survey and brain-storming session on how the attendees see this new programme can better aid and benefit them (and all other young adults) into adulthood. This was followed by a simple fellowship with refreshments to end.
